The potholes, a fire, and a moonlight hike
2005-09-18

Today was jam-packed. It started off at the Sooke Potholes for a couple swims and playing around on the river (creek) and perusing the woods. As evening hit a few of us stopped by the fair for a couple quick rides, and then proceeded to regroup and head to Esquimalt Lagoon for a campfire. With a full moon and a couple cruise ships well lit on the horizon, it was amazing. To cap it all off, we headed to Mt. Doug for a hike -- the moon was bright enough that a flashlight was not needed; it was a tad windy on top, but quite a sight to see 30 people hiking at midnight on such a gorgeous, cloudless night.
