Designed a DVD audio tester prototype for production line testing. Simple
analog components, mainly operational amplifiers, capacitors, and resistors,
were used in the circuit design. Produced layout of printed circuit board in
Eagle 4 software, ordered, and assembled prototype circuit boards.

Abitibi Consolidated Inc - Paper Mill, May 2002 - August 2002

Managed several projects, and prepared AutoCAD drawings. Projects included
turbine generator protection unit modifications, power monitoring device
programming, SO2 sensor sustainability analysis, and a BC Hydro proposal for
modification of the substation protection logic. Comparisons between AutoCAD
drawings and the field implementations were also done, drawings updated, and
recommendations made where applicable.
UVic Alumni Affairs, September 2001 - December 2001

Analyzed the existing UVic On-line Community (OLC), and devised a new database
structure with a standardized code base. The new structure was designed to be
more efficient, and to support any future developments of the OLC Network. My
responsibilities also included working with administrators from 9 Canadian
Universities in order to solve technical issues, and to discuss potential
additions to the OLC Network. After determining what work needed to be done,
I made the necessary modifications to the Website and databases.
